Emergency Management

Emergency Management

The County strives to achieve a level of emergency preparedness through all areas of the region in cooperation with the residents, first responders, and the Province’s Alberta Emergency Management Agency and it’s partners. In assisting our citizens with resources and skills in recognizing best practices and procedures in preparing for the large emergency events we look to minimize the stress and worry if and when events go bad. In working cooperatively with our urban partners in the region we also hope to make a resilient response effort that can tackle the small to large disaster events. Through the resources listed on this page, we hope that everyone can benefit from them as they’ve been compiled from experience, knowledge, and previous responses to events with negative impacts. If at any time anyone has questions or would like some assistance with making their own family or farm emergency plan, please contact the DEM office or check out the links and resources listed here.

Thanks and best of luck with “plan for the worst, hope for the best!”
