County Land Development in Fleet

August 28, 2019

The County of Paintearth is considering developing the lands immediately south of Railway Ave, to the lands containing the regional water line, into residential lots.  Please find attached a map showing the proposed parcels on the lands being reviewed.  At this point, everything is preliminary and draft, this is just a consideration moving forward for discussion.

The lots are sized approximately about 1.18 – 1.24 acres in size, with approximate dimensions of 150’x350, comparable to a football field. This is designed to meet current standards for the placements of water wells and septic field systems with the appropriate separation distances.  There is a small public utility lot planned (.31 ac) for a future metering station of the water line, and we may enlarge it to include space for a community park, or other outdoor space.

The County may at some point be entering the lands to remove any remaining debris or foundation remnants from the long departed elevators, and other buildings which occupied these lands a very long time ago.  Residents are reminded that if you have placed anything on the lands to please remove them. We may also be undergoing ground testing for any potential contaminations – if any residents are aware of historic uses/locations/buried services that may affect these explorations the County would gladly welcome your feedback.

At this time, the County is requesting that if any residents have any feedback or comments on the proposed subdivision and future development, to please reply back to This email address is being protected from spambots.
