Electronics Recycling

Paintearth Regional Waste Management Ltd. is a registered collection site for Electronic Recycling under Alberta Recycling Management Authority.

Under the program televisions, computers, monitors, CPUs, keyboards, cables, mice, speakers, laptops, notebook computers and printers are accepted.

In Alberta over 4 million units of computers and televisions have been recycled. The programs goal is to keep hazardous materials out of landfills. These units contain lead, mercury, cadmium and cathode ray tubes.

In 2012/2013 over 20 tonnes of electronic materials from Paintearth have been collected and picked up by recyclers. PRWM is paid a per tonne rate of $100.00 per tonne for eligible materials by Alberta Recycling Management Authority Electronic Program.  Recycle Logic of Red Deer is the recycler.
